The Wei Wai Kum House of Treasures is a Band owned and operated gift shop & gallery housed in a contemporary building based on the architectural look of a traditional Big House. The gallery originally encompassed 3,200 square feet but was downsized to approximately 1,500 square feet in 2007.
The Gallery opened July 31, 1998, featuring original native art from local first nations on Vancouver Island. The Gallery features masks, jewellery, clothing, dolls, home accessories, clothing, prints, paddles and souvenirs.
The Gallery serves the carvers and artists in the community with the opportunity to market their work to not only local people but to many tourists in the area.
