Post-Secondary

“The education of our people
is the future of our nation”

The Campbell River Indian Band provides Post-Secondary Education funding for full-time students (living allowance, tuition, books & supplies) and part-time students (tuition, books & supplies only) for the members who have been approved through the annual application process.

Every year current and prospective students will have an opportunity to apply for funding. Funding runs on a fiscal year basis, so requires an annual submission of an application. Students who plan to start their studies in September MUST submit a complete Post Secondary funding application package to the Education Coordinator by March 31st, 4:30pm.

Eligibility:

The Post Secondary Education Coordinator administers the funding following the Campbell River Indian Bands Post Secondary Policies and Guidelines. To be eligible the student must be a registered member of the Campbell River Indian Band, be a resident of Canada for the last 12 months and registered in an accredited Post-Secondary Institution.

Under these guidelines, an eligible post secondary program of study must be at least one academic year in length and have grade 12 or equivalent as a prerequisite for admission to the program and lead to a certificate, diploma or degree.
